			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The 3 R's of Marketing</p>
<p>I've written before about the 3 R's and when we were "younger" it used be about Reading,'Riting and 'Rithmethic! but the world has moved on and it is all about a different set of 3 R's today.</p>
<p>The fundamentals of marketing are not the 4 P's anymore, now they're the 3 R's: Response, Results, and Return on Investment (ROI). And, by using marketing automation technology, these 3 R's can be easily managed and quantified.</p>
<p>What is Automated Marketing?</p>
<p>Automated marketing refers to the use of technology to manage specific marketing tasks in an automated way. For example: A website might offer an e-book, available through a web form. When a prospect completes the form, an auto-response email would send the prospect a link to download their book. Further to that however, the prospect's information is captured from the form and added into a prospect database. That same prospect could then be added into an automated email sequence of e-tips, set up to deliver over a scheduled period of time. For example, a series of 10 e-tips could be sent 1 tip per week over the next 10 weeks. The emails themselves could also contain links that could trigger any number of other automated actions, all of which could be tracked and analyzed.</p>
<p>How it all works...</p>
<p>To stand above the crowd, marketers today must be savvy enough to adapt their messaging toward specific segments of their market. Converting prospects into paying clients requires creating specialized messages and offers that speak to specific prospects. Through marketing automation you can hone in on the particular interests and issues important to your prospects, based on the actions that they take. For example: Prospects who click on a link of interest in an email, might be added into a new sequence, focused more specifically toward that topic of interest. This allows several sequences to work together to move your prospects through your sales funnel, in an automated way.</p>
<p>Built to Last</p>
<p>Effort is required when setting up these types of marketing campaigns, but the increased response rates make the extra work well worth it. By taking the time to target your campaigns toward specific segments within your target market, you'll enjoy increased results. Once you have your sequences and tasks in place you simply put the program into action. Automated Marketing becomes your lead capture / lead conversion machine that runs continuously and efficiently.</p>
<p>Measurable Proof</p>
<p>The flexibility of customizing your campaigns and the response metrics available give automated marketing an edge over more unwieldy traditional approaches. Through automated marketing tools, inquiries can be responded to immediately - around the clock and around the globe. By implementing these marketing tools, results become highly measurable, revealing which marketing campaigns are the most effective - without time consuming and expensive focus groups. And, by tracking and reviewing your sales results data, you can easily calculate your marketing budget's Return on Investment.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Often when it comes to online marketing, we can feel overwhelmed. There’s Twitter, Blogs, Facebook, LinkedIn, and whatever is the newest thing (Pinterest anyone?) How on earth are you supposed to keep all those balls juggling in the air while still having time to get your real work done?</p>
<p>The answer, of course, is in setting limits and keeping focused.</p>
<p>Start at the Beginning</p>
<p>Remembering always that information flows outward from your website, first set your priorities. You need to have the groundwork done each day. If you have a company blog, get that blog post up, preferably first thing in the morning. Your completed blog post will then drive most of your Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn responses.</p>
<p>Move the Information Out</p>
<p>10 minutes: Once your post is up, spend some time on Twitter and Facebook pointing others to your post. Be brief in your messages, but be on target. You’re competing with everyone else who is out there trying to market their brand and message so don’t waste anyone’s time with long complicated messages. A few words on the value of your post should be enough. It’s important to also respond to comments or questions made directly to you. Share the best comments or some of the more interesting links you see as you scan your feed.</p>
<p>Take a few minutes to also either reply to or retweet a few tweets or, “Like” or respond to a few Facebook comments. Be sure to comment on at least 4 Facebook stories/posts, entering a comment of value and/or appreciation.</p>
<p>5 minutes: Next, go over to LinkedIn and send a link to your blog post out to any appropriate groups to which you belong. Scan the articles that have been posted in those groups to see if you can comment on them or determine if they offer information you’d like to read about.</p>
<p>5 minutes: Lastly, scan a few blogs (hopefully sent to you by RSS feed so that you don’t have to search for them) in your field and make significant and value-added comments on at least 3.</p>

<p>All of this online marketing is moving information out from your website and can be done in about 20 minutes. It might be difficult to do at first because there are so many temptations out there (Hey did you check out this unbelievable video?), but stay strong and focussed. In the beginning, in order to keep yourself on track, you might even want to use a timer. Make a contract with yourself to spend 20 minutes and no more. The beauty of setting a limit of 20 minutes is that you can then repeat that mid-day and at the end of the day, if needed, without too much impact to your schedule. Or you can just do it once and have that carry you through the work day.</p>
<p>The important thing here is to get into social media and then get out so that you can get to your other work for the day. You want to have a presence in social media, but you don’t want to make it your full-time job.</p>
<p>How much time do you spend on social media? What do you do to keep it from cutting into your productive time?</p>
<p>Remember Online Marketing is the best way to get global reach and into the marketplace with your brand.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I was reading in the Sunday Times that Sheryl Sandberg COO of Facebook had an outbreak of <a title="Head Lice " href="http://www.headliceonline.com" target="_blank">Headlice</a> with her children while bringing them to a conference on a corporate jet!</p>
<p>I though it was hilarious but I know that she didn't and was more than likely horrified that her children got them at all.</p>
<p>All working mothers have had to cope at some stage with headlice and they are a complete nightmare.</p>
<p>You are outraged,shocked, feel dirty and just want to get rid of them...NOW!</p>
<p>I have been that Mother and interestingly enough that is exactly how I started my information business online.</p>
<p>I researched,created and launched my first <a href="http://www.headliceonline.com" target="_blank">eBook on headlice</a> after coping with them over a 4 month period in my own home.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>David Shing was in conversation with Bobby Kerr on Newstalk today and he had lots of insights and top tips for digital trends for 2013.</p>
<p>There was a time in education where it was essential to have the 3  R"S.....Reading,'Riting and 'Rithmetic and I have written about this in a previous blog post<a href="http://www.productlaunchmethod.net/relationshipraving-fans-resonating-with-clients/" target="_blank"> See here</a>  but David Shing suggests that the new 3 r's are</p>
<p><strong>Relevant ,Reactive and Remarkable.</strong></p>
<p>"We have to go native", Shing said so when a consumer is inside an environment and a brand can speak to the consumer thats native.</p>
<p>When he mentioned "<span style="font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;"><strong>Relevant"</strong> he states that it has to be relevant to the consumer  as so many are struggling with digital fatigue it has to be conversational or you will be defriended or worse ignored.</span></p>
<p>You also have to be <strong>"Reactive"</strong> so that if someone makes a comment  you have to be able to turn it around fast whether it was negetive or positive.</p>
<p>And  the third thing is to be <strong>"Remarkable"</strong>because if you cannot cut through the noise and be heard you won't survive.</p>
<p>It is the most exciting time to be in digital it's beyond buttons and banners to conversations and you need to be there</p>
